Torbay joins national Cultural Development Fund network

Torbay is now part of the Cultural Development Fund learning network, following the award of almost £3m Cultural Development Fund 2 investment from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) for our plan 'Torbay's Cultural Development - Paignton Picture House'.

The CDF2 partnership - between Paignton Picture House Trust (PPHT), Torbay Council, South Devon College, the International Agatha Christie Festival and the board of Torbay Culture - is a cornerstone of our improvements for Paignton over the next few years, also supported by the Future High Streets Fund from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities.

The CDF network comprises the seven CDF2 places announced this spring, along with the five earlier places from first round of CDF . The network is the national collective that shares best practice and generates knowledge to capture and celebrate the success of the DCMS CDF investment.
