OPPORTUNITY: LEAD PRODUCER (FREELANCE)

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Lead Producer to execute the development and successful delivery of Torbay’s Great Place Scheme Cultural Programme, an ambitious year-long programme of cultural happenings across Torbay’s three towns, key cultural venues, new spaces and in the public realm.

OPPORTUNITY: CREATIVE COMMISSIONING LEAD (freelance/organisation)

Torbay is a growing centre for creative commissioning. Artists and cultural organisations are increasing the health and wellbeing of residents by bringing their creative skills into other sectors, collaborating with organisations such as the NHS Foundation Trust to help them achieve their own aims. Having recently completed a series of 'test and learn' projects in the health and care sectors, we are seeking a freelance individual or organisation to take the next, necessary steps that will fully embed this practice here, increasing reach and deepening impact.

HELP US TO PUT OUR BEST FOOT FORWARD

We are so proud of the team that made this happen but the funding for the Best Foot Forward pilot has come to an end. The programme really has been life-changing for the participants and we don’t want to stop these amazing people dancing together. We would also love to see this opportunity provided for other people. We need your support to carry on.

SEEKING CULTURAL TOURISM CONSULTANTS

We are seeking to appoint an individual or organisation to support us in developing the English Riviera’s cultural tourism offer, helping us to shape an all-year-round destination and attract a new type of visitor. If you have credible knowledge and experience of cultural tourism with a creative approach this could be the project for you!

WHAT DOES GOOD CARE LOOK LIKE?

A group of Torbay artists are working with care home residents to explore what ‘good care’ means to them. Torbay Culture and Torbay Council have commissioned Devon based arts organisation Encounters to engage with care home residents during November and December 2017, with the aim to produce a Residents’ Rights Charter.

WONDER ASSOCIATES APPOINTED

Following a competitive recruitment process, Torbay Culture Board has selected Wonder Associates to provide audience development and marketing support over a 2½ year period as part of the Great Place Scheme, which will see a £1.6million investment in local cultural life with the aim to increase residents’ engagement in culture and attract a new breed of cultural tourists.
